911 has become a history

This month marked 20th anniversary of the terror attack to the World Trade Center in New York.

20 years ago I watched a news program on TV. Then suddenly the scene of airplane crash into the buildings were shown. An hour later the two building collapsed. Around 3000 people died. I truly tribute to the victims.

I remember I was on the World Trade Center rooftop 8 years before that terror attack when I was a college student in US.

It was like being on top of the world.

terror, 911, history, World Trade Center

terror, 911, history, World Trade Center

Now since that day the place is known as "Ground Zero." Where I used to stand has become a memorial site.

Then the fightback war in Afghanistan started followed by the war in Iraq for ambiguos reasons. 10 years ago, Osama Binladin was killed.

Last month US withdrew troops from Afghanistan after Taliban regime who harbored Osama Binladin and his terror group Al Qaeda took over the country's capital. 13 US service persons were killed by the terror attack just a few days before the pullout.

This incident gave the world impression that the US was defeated by Taliban and Al Qaeda. Surely it never really meant US lost in the global war on terror. The fight still continues over the horizon.

But what has been happening over these 20 years?

My image of America has gone bad since 911. Many civilian casualties was numbered. But most Americans justified military actions that could cost civilian death except people like Peaceful Tomorrows. A liberal and kind American friend I knew turned very aggressive and supported the war. It seemed the world I knew flipped up side down.

These days I am disgusted with America.

Especially because of US military issue, as this post describes.

Dear US Government re: request for terminating USMC new base construction in Okinawa, Japan

The US military destroys Japan's precious environment and is undermining Japan's national sovereignty.

In fact, America itself turned very ugly nation as the former President Trump symbolised such movement. The bottom line is America is white and Christian nation. Other than white and Christian means the second class citizen. That is why Asians became target for COVID-19 related hate-crimes.

Just right before US military pullout of Afghanistan, US did drone strike on what they claimed, the terrorist who instructed the attack on the site where 13 US soldiers were killed. But now it was suspected to be civilian residence who had no connection with the terror and caused child victims according to this news report.

America is giving bad things to the world although it still leads the world in economy and politics.

But it is no longer the moral leader. To me, America is no longer a friend, though not an enemy. I became more isolationist or feel closer to other nations.

The whole world is changing. The power balance is changing as well as the values.

Good Bye, America and the world I knew before 911! I am seeing the new world and new values.

Who won the war?

A decade has passed since that incident.

The U.S. declared global war on terror. The U.S. sent troops to Afghanistan and Iraq.

After all, did the U.S. win?

The U.S. killed Hussein and Binladen.

But the Taliban wasn't defeated. They now revived their momentum gaining support from the localies.

Iraq was never democratised but became anarchic. Iraq never had weapons of mass-destruction.

It was a fake information. The U.S. provoked war based on the lies they made up. That deteriorated reputation of the U.S. government.

The U.S. spent 1 trillion dollars for the two wars. Now the budget is in serious condition.

The economy is in very bad shape. High unemployment rate, lower rating of U.S. treasury bonds.

The U.S. parliament passed PATRIOT law. The civil liberty has been violated. The distrust against Muslims is growing. The nation is divided. The U.S. is no longer free society.

Oh, it seemed things has moved as the terrorists wish.

America's Nazisation

I watched documentary program on America's new movement in relation to 10th anniversary of 911 attack. In New York, there is a big controversy over opening of new Islamic Center located 2 blocks away from Ground Zero. People overlap image of Al Quaida with Islam.

Anti-Islam activist, Pamela Geller was interviewed by a Japanese journalist. She said "It is not a matter of freedom of faith, it is a matter of emotion. Why should we figure them out? It should be defeated."

Sounds scary! After I watched the program on TV, I accessed her blog and emailed her the below question.

"Your response and comments sound like what Nazi people said to Jews.

Aren’t you using the same propaganda as Nazis did? Aren’t you creating another holocaust like Israel is doing on Palestineans?"

Her response as follows,

"The Jews weren't blowing people up, slaughtering thousands in countries across the world, and killing their own if not devout enough.

Get a grip on reality."
Pamela Geller is Jewish American according to her blog.

According to the program, people like her is getting popularity. I think it is not just because of terror threat but also frustration caused by bad economy and failed wars. This is like 1930's Germany when Anti-Jew propaganda had been common like the below photo.

This time, the target is Muslims or Arabians.

Well, America is becoming like Nazi-Germany. It is devastating.

It is time for us to make a distance from America or totally stay away from the country.

America is no longer place of tolerance. It is becoming dangerous.

After 7 years, where is Bin-laden?

Today marked 7th anniversary of 911 attack on WTC and Pentagon.

The U.S. army attacked Afghan and Iraq without mercy to civilians. The purpose was to find Bin-laden.

But where is he now? In Guantanamo?

Things are getting worse since 911. The photo was taken in July, 1993 just after first terrorist attack took place in WTC. As you see, I was wearing United Nations T shirt. I don' t have that shirt any more.

I think 911 opened the door to awful 21st century.
